Selection Criteria
The Bridge to Academic Excellence program identifies students who have potential for success at the University of Minnesota. Program participants must be accepted as full-time, first-semester freshmen at the University of Minnesota for the fall semester. They should also have graduated from high school during the school year prior to the start of Bridge to Academic Excellence. Students should also demonstrate how or why they would benefit from the support of the Bridge program (see Application) and/or how they would enhance the cultural, racial, economic or geographic diversity of the University of Minnesota student body.
